This is in response to the Nov. 19 letter “Smokers rightly not welcome in this state.” The writer pronounced that the ban on smoking is cause for celebration by “God fearing” people in this society where morals and morality are heading south. This is the first time I’ve heard smoking equated to issues of morality and religion. I think it would be nice if the letter writer (and other hand wringers like her) headed south too. Maybe they could catch up with morality.
