After reading Patty Murray’s and Barbara Boxer’s jointly written glowing praises of Obamacare, (Saturday commentary, “A winner for all, especially women”), I wondered if they too, like Harry Reid, believed that all the reports of millions of canceled insurance policies, premiums increases of three or four fold, health facilities and doctors dropped out of the plan, and the constant reports of total chaos in general, are all lies generated and coordinated by the “Obama hating” GOP?
When even traditionally liberal sources admit that the administration has “cooked the books” regarding enrollment figures vs. those being cancelled by their present carriers, we might reasonably ask just where our senator and her colleague have been while all these conditions have been occurring. It should be glaringly apparent to Murray, Boxer, et al, that the great majority of people never wanted, and still don’t want, any part of Obamacare. As has been said before, “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” In the case of Obamacare, it would be the equivalent of putting lipstick on an entire feedlot of swine.
