It has come to my attention that Snohomish County officials aren’t doing all they can to fix the ballfield mess.
When I was talking to state Rep. Hans Dunshee the other day he informed me that the state has given a letter to the county saying that rezoning the ballfields can be done. He even has it on his Web site for anyone to see.
My question is: Why isn’t this being pursued?
The only thing I have heard most county people get fired up about pursuing is changing state law next January. Why should we have to wait that long when the county can work on it now?
It is shameful to me that the county would get the kids into this mess by allowing the fields to be made, then tell them they are out of compliance, but then refuse to do some hard work to fix it.
As a mom and a coach I demand this issue be pursued with the same effort – no, more effort – as getting car dealers on farmland.
Telling me any different isn’t acceptable.
