What is wrong with these county politicians taking ballfields and other forms of recreation such as the moto-cross track in Monroe away from the very people who vote them into office? I support the track and have a son who races and trains at this site. We have spent many weekends in Monroe spending a lot of money in the community. That money will go elsewhere if the track is removed.
In addition to the races that take place there, many families also are enjoying the company of one another and creating life-long friendships while camping and letting our children enjoy the outdoors, knowing that they are safe and not out running the streets and getting into trouble. The racing community is a close knit group and we all watch out for each others’ kids as if they were our own. The MXGP track will be greatly missed if forced to close. Keep the track!
