I wish I could have joined them. I believe high taxes are destroying our economy.
Recently, we received our federal tax refund. It will be enough to pay our property tax.
Every year our property tax goes up, but our home’s resale value goes down. We are retired and our fixed income has gone south.
If we had to pay less in taxes we could spend more and this would help the economy. We don’t need government handouts, but less state and federal interference in our lives.
I am referring to the latest $500 per senior couple handout. This adds up to $41.66 per month in one year. It may be enough to pay for an increase in gasoline prices.
Where is the federal government going to come up with that? Reducing taxes helps businesses prosper and receive income to hire more workers. More people working means more people to pay taxes.
People could “hope” for more “change” in their pockets.
I believe we can learn from the past, but blaming everything on prior administrations is not productive.
