I was very surprised to read the varied responses The Herald received about Michael Moore’s latest film, “Fahrenheit 9/11.” While not everybody will agree with Moore’s views, to call the film anti-American is going too far. While Moore says he puts his opinions into the film, he does put something into the film that has been kept from the American people: the facts. While the 9/11 Commission recently revealed how many mistakes were made before Sept. 11, this movie will put those blemishes out in the open. The people who call the work un-American or anti-democratic are the same ones who believe that the hijackers of the planes were Iraqis and are still waiting with baited breath for weapons of mass destruction to be found in Iraq. The opinions you can take or leave, but the facts cannot, and most importantly should not be ignored.
