We don’t have money for the poor or elderly (or roads, police officers, firefighters, etc.); we’re fighting Bush’s war. Forget about federal (our) money, it’s on the way to foreign governments, no-bid government contracts (Bush’s pals), etc.
We are rebuilding Iraq faster than New Orleans, we supply power to the Iraqis but can’t afford to supply power (heat) to the poor and elderly who have paid taxes for 70-80 years.
Seems to me we need to reverse the situation. Send FEMA to Iraq to rebuild and help them and get that guy back here to help us.
