I can’t believe government officials don’t know how irritating the “test is being conducted” message on Comcast cable TV for several local counties was on Sunday night. It muted the sound for a good 15 minutes while running a banner across the top of the screen over and over and over and over, ad nauseum.
The banner is impossible to ignore and gets its message across in capital letters – so why its necessary to mute the sound, causing us to miss the most important part of a show that does not repeat – is beyond us. Is it a special effort to make us turn off the TV next time and ignore whatever message they may have to warn us of impending doom?
I complained to Comcast and they directed me to the FCC as the perpetrator. Or is this just a FEMA type screw-up?
