Name-calling reflects poorly on writer

This is in response to Ernest Schmidt’s letter “He has four more years to do damage,” published on Dec. 2. How can he judge me and millions of other people he doesn’t even know? To say, “how the majority of American people can be so stupid is beyond me,” is a very arrogant statement.

I am not stupid. I researched both candidates before the election and I listened to all of the debates. I have listened to people say good and bad about both men. I voted for the man I thought would do the best job running our country and that man won. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, he has his and I have mine, but the difference between us is that I would never write or say someone is stupid just because I don’t agree with where they stand on any issue. If he thinks he could do a better job, let’s see his name on the 2008 ballot.
