Needed changes nowhere in sight

After reading Chis Hedges and Joe Sacco’s book, “Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt”, it is even more clear that we need a new world view, for both major political parties seem to be getting it wrong. Even if President Obama is able to prevent the election from being stolen, Wall Street will continue to win with President Obama and the 99 percent will continue to lose.

Yes, I hear people need to protest to push President Obama to the left, but President Obama needs to make sure protesters have the freedom to protest without getting their heads hit with a billy club.

Most often, I do not see President Obama doing what we need him to do. The rich keep getting even richer. We need to get out of the WTO, raise taxes to 90 percent on the rich, and increase grants for people to get a college education. We need to not only end the empire war in Afghanistan, but we need to shrink the budget of the military. There is also a lack of worker rights in our nation because, in part, the lack of unions.

Also, gun laws need to be strengthened greatly. The Second Amendment should be seen as giving people the right to have a ball and musket gun or something similar, but nothing else; for when the Second Amendment was written that was the type of gun that was covered under the amendment. We need a New Deal type of jobs program.
