I met Betty Neighbors last year when she was running for Snohomish County executive and was disappointed when she didn’t win. Her ideas and perspectives are just what we need. She’s a successful businesswoman, running an award-winning human resources company and helping people get jobs in our area. She works with local businesses and people and knows our region very well. Because of this experience, Betty knows how to get things done and manage people. The kind of people I want working for me in government are not political insiders or people so ingrained in the system that they don’t even realize that they’re part of the problem.
If everyone just took a long look at their utility bill this month, they would realize that more of the same is not what we need in the PUD. Were you happy with the outrageous rates we had last winter? I’m not.
While PUD commissioner is way down on the ticket this November, my utility bill is high on my priority list. I will not support Toni Olson, an insider who has been a part of skyrocketing rates and failed management for 22 years. Betty Neighbors has the business skills to bring change and reform to the PUD — and my utility bill!
I’m voting for Betty Neighbors again, and I encourage all my neighbors to do the same.
