The new agreement between Sound Transit and Burlington Northern Santa Fe to run trains from Everett to Seattle is another great step in helping to improve the transportation problems in our region. Coupled with the transit centers in Everett and Lynnwood, the park and ride lots and a fine bus system, people have choices they didn’t have before.
As a resident of Edmonds and a senior citizen as well, I’d like to thank Dave Earling for his excellent work on transportation issues, not only as an Edmonds City Council member but as a Sound Transit Board member, too. Now I ride the bus from the Lynnwood Park and Ride to Seattle for a mere $1 without the frustration of traffic jams. By the end of the year we’ll have the option of riding Sounder to Seattle as well.
