I’ve had it! Highway robbery used to be despised, because innocent travelers were pressured into paying excessive prices for products or services. The other day, I found out that a product at a local grocery store that was advertised at $10.99 actually was $14.49 unless I had a card that qualified for their ($3.50) discount. I believe that qualifies as “highway robbery.”
Since I am not willing to carry their card on my person at all times or give the store access to my personal buying habits, I will no longer shop there. I hope this is a warning to this store and other major chain stores that hope to overcharge those who don’t want to participate in their discount card programs. We shoppers will spend our money somewhere else!
Any store that charges everyone the same price, please advertise and I’ll start shopping there.
