No one was at their best on football’s biggest stage Sunday – not the Seahawks, not the Steelers, certainly not the officials. Even the Rolling Stones were showing some moss.
Yet despite a less-than-perfect ending, the Seahawks gave their long-suffering fans a Super Bowl ride to remember. And with a talented front office and head coach in place, along with seven players heading to the Pro Bowl, there’s good reason to believe that more championship thrills are awaiting us.
The Seahawks lost the big game, but they won the hearts of millions. The players bonded like no Seahawk team had ever done, to the fans and to each other. They had the league’s MVP, but they won as a team.
These guys are championship material. We can’t wait for September, when the quest for Super Bowl XLI begins.
