The Port of Edmonds has a commission race between former Edmonds Mayor Harve Harrison and a newcomer to political campaigning.
Voters will do well to select the fresh approach of Dean A. Nichols, who offers a well-rounded approach to port issues and a sense of excitement about the port’s potential for contributing to residents’ enjoyment of a superb natural setting. While new to public life, Nichols brings an excellent business background that will be of value.
Harrison, who was mayor from 1967 to 1983, has focused his campaign on opposition to the port’s tax.
