For years there has been discussion on Capitol Hill to do away with the IRS and come up with other means of taxing “We The People.” With the numerous scandalous events surrounding the IRS, there is no better time to do so. Here is a chance for the current “do nothing Congress” to awake and actually do something to enhance their image and invigorate the American people.
As long as this administration continues to trample on the U.S. Constitution, the rights of citizens are in jeopardy. The latest IRS scandal is a prime example of citizens rights being devastated. Instead of trumpeting the rights of conservatives seeking tax-exempt status, as is their right, Congressman-for-life, Rep. Jim McDermott, actually chastised a lady seeking re-dress during a House Ways and Means Committee hearing.
As the senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee his lack of courtesy, let alone statesmanship, is shameful to say the least.
