No one should live in fear

I am a 16-year-old student at Everett Alternatives High School. On Oct. 9 a student from Cascade High School was stabbed numerous times while on her way to school. For me, this incident hit home. To see that an innocent young girl could be attacked so viciously just seemed unreal. I feel that no person should have to fear their daily life. The message I would like to send out is to please be more alert to your surroundings and be sure to express the important role that your loved ones play in your life. There is a lesson out there for everyone, and this just happened to be mine.
