How nice it was to get a letter from the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, informing me my vote in the Nov. 6 election didn’t count. By law, they were unable to process my ballot.
According to the Auditor’s Office, my ballot was not postmarked in time for the election. Of course they don’t enclose a copy of the envelope showing the postmark to prove my ballot was late. Now I am pretty darn sure I mailed my ballot in time to get to the Auditor’s Office or postmarked in time.
This is just one more reason to do away with all mail-in ballots. Just too many ways to cheat the system, find ways to count the votes before they are counted to get the results they want. The governor’s election should have proved that. Dead people voting in King County, and let us not forget all those ballots which were found days, weeks and months after the election. Fraud is the first and only thing which comes to mind.
It is Snohomish County’s goal to ensure that every eligible vote can be processed and counted; I find this very laughable. Bring back the polling booths, where I know my vote will be counted.
I would like the County Auditor to prove to me my ballot was not postmarked in time.
