Perhaps the writer of the letter, “Can’t let Israel dictate on Iran,” wasn’t old enough to live during the events preceding World War II or hasn’t studied history to know about events happening during that time.
Very briefly, those events included British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain emphasizing “Peace for our time,” after returning from meetings with Hitler, one of the devils of that time. After those meetings, Chamberlain continued his policy of appeasing Hitler and making excuses when Hitler did not live up to previously made agreements. On the other hand, Winston Churchill spoke out against appeasement and he also spoke out for a large scale building up of the British armed forces. As a result of Churchill’s outspoken positions, he was forced to resign his place in Chamberlain’s government. About a year later, Chamberlain, in disgrace for his failed appeasement policies, resigned as prime minister, and Churchill became the prime minister to rescue Britain in a tough war.
Recently, President Obama’s Secretary of State Kerry negotiated what appears to be a wonderful controlled nuclear expansion treaty. Kerry led the negotiations with upper level officials of the Iranian supreme leader (a latter day devil). Iran is a country that scoffs at treaties. Remember the Iranians overrunning the U.S. embassy and holding the employees prisoners for well over a year? What excuse can the present day treaty lovers give for that? The devil funds Hezbollah and Hamas, two terrorists groups and an upper level Iranian official has recently stated that Iran will not allow foreign nuclear inspectors into their very top secret nuclear areas.
Like Churchill, Netanyahu is setting the alarm for Israel and for many other countries (and being condemned). Fortunately, Congress is listening.
