179 tankers, no frills: James Bell, Boeing’s chief financial officer, said that Boeing will stick very close to the $30 billion deal it recently won to provide aerial refueling tankers to the U.S. Air Force, providing only what it said it would and not allowing either side to inflate the project.

The Mayans predicted this, too: The Mexican government says that a statue, sold at auction for $4 million and claimed as being from the Mayan civilization, is a fake. The auctioneers have sworn to its authenticity, saying Mexican officials are attempting to ruin the market for ancient artifacts.
Bolstering Mexico’s claim of fakery were deciphered Mayan heiroglyphs on the bottom of the statue that read “2012: Own it on Blu-Ray and DVD.”
