Regarding the Wednesday article, “Down to 9 spots for UW branch”: Hidden in the “must be within 5 miles of I-5” criteria for a new UW campus would seem to be another striking message. Regardless of what some Olympia windbags may toot about to get you to vote for this or that transportation package, the moneybags of Olympia do not plan for Highway 9 through the north county to be any more than an increasingly clogged two-lane side thought of an arterial for the foreseeable future.
