The proposed motocross complex going in is a much needed asset to the Snohomish County area. Our county has the second most off-road vehicle riders and currently only has two places to ride, neither of which is for motocross. It is much safer for the kids to be in a well-run facility than out probably trespassing by riding elsewhere.
As far as traffic and noise? I encourage you to go up to Hannegans speedway on a Thursday night motocross day. There is no traffic, unless you count the six or eight people lined up at the ticket booth to get in. Just stop your car down the road and listen after 5:30 p.m. It is not that noisy.
Would you rather have these kids tearing through the neighborhood? Most tracks only race one night a week and maybe a couple of practice days, anyway. I think that’s a small price to pay for safe place to ride for our kids.
