Not everyone supports council

Herald readers should know that one tribal member does not speak for the entire Tribe.

When an article appears in the paper stating “the Tribe,” this means the Tribal Council and does not necessarily mean all tribal members have this same opinion.

Some tribal members realize it would be an impossible task for the border patrol staff to know tribal ID cards for the 45-plus tribes in Western Washington alone.

Also, in this computer age, fraudulent tribal ID cards could easily be available to the terrorists.

This could be a threat to our country and all citizens need to do everything they can to protect our land.
