So, the U.S. Marine Corps spent three months investigating the abuse of a puppy. Maybe if they spent as much time investigating the death of Dustin Canham in Africa, his family and friends would get the truth regarding his death. (June 6 article, “Family raises questions in death of Lake Stevens Marine.”)
Perhaps Sgt. Diaz would have to answer for what he did in the tent the day Dustin died. Dustin was a model Marine, a true patriot and he deserved to be treated properly by his chain of command. Instead, he died in a tent in Africa under questionable circumstances. I would like to know why. I would also like to know why the USMC spends more time investigating a public relations issue than on the death of one of their own.
