Why does the media insist on labeling Barack Obama as a black person? I’ve heard him described in countless columns as being “black” or that he may be our nation’s first black president. News flash — he had a white mother and a black father. Does that not make him biracial? He is no more black than Tiger Woods (who has a Thai mother and a black father). Barrack Obama is neither black nor white, but genetically in between — biracial. The media seems to focus on Obama’s blackness while virtually ignoring his white lineage — how profoundly disrespectful to his mother.
The very notion that when a black person has a child with a person of another race, the child must be regarded as black smacks of racism.
The media should abandon that obsolete notion and cease dishonoring the racial lineage of Barack’s white mother. To continue calling Barack black is culturally disingenuous and serves more to divide our nation along racial lines.
