I have read that people who live in privately owned homes that happen to be located on sites leased from the federal government are being forced to vacate until the government shutdown ends. In some instances, this has involved the quite elderly. With that in mind, I wonder if we can insist that the Obamas and Bidens vacate their current places of residence until the shutdown ends, in as much as those residences are also situated on federal lands? Or is it only the peasants and serfs who are required to “feel the pain” and not our exalted nobility in the” other Washington”?
