Regarding Kathleen Parker’s Sunday column, “Obama’s support lacks real meaning”: Usually it’s easy to ignore Parker’s opinion pieces as stuck in the rhetoric of her righteous claque, but this week she was talking about young people who are considering killing themselves to stop the internal turmoil of being different — and for them, President Obama’s announcement accepting gay marriage was not “fundamentally meaningless” but a shock of hope that indeed “It Gets Better!”
