I couldn’t bear to read the front page the day the not-guilty verdict for Officer Troy Meade was reported. Was the use of deadly force the only option this officer had to deal with the victim? Why couldn’t he have shot out his tires, let him run out of gas, or pass out, or shot him in the foot?
If he was so scared that he feared for his life at the hands of someone who was unarmed, and drunk, then he shouldn’t be a policeman. My condolences go out to the family of Niles Meservey.
