I’ve just finished paying my electricity bill again, and once again I can’t help but wonder why we have to be the scapegoat for this poorly managed company. PUD officials cry about how BPA has raised the electricity prices so high that they have to pass the cost on to us.
I see a company that in the last two years managed to give its leaders and 31 senior managers anywhere from a 10 percent to 24 percent raise, while its blue collar workers are struggling to get more than a 2 percent raise and maintain existing health benefits.
To me, it’s completely obvious PUD officials don’t care about the little guy.
If they can afford to pad their pockets, they can treat everyone else to the same gratuities.
