Thank you, Aaron Reardon, for getting our hopes up about a race track in our area and the thought of economic growth.
It seems to me that it was his intention all along to not have a profitable business in this area. Why would any business want to come to this area? Taxes are way too high, people whine about change, but then whine again about a slow economy. How can people wonder why Boeing left? I can’t blame them. I hope that more big businesses follow suit. Maybe then the elected officials will open their eyes.
Bringing a track to this area would have brought a lot of improvements. Roads would have been widened, etc. But oh no! We would have to listen to a dull roar for three or four days a year. Big deal. Now, we will have to wait for the people in Olympia to someday consider funding road improvements in this area. Until then, I will enjoy sitting in traffic for 30 minutes trying to get on I-5 in Smokey Point. I may even consider moving out of this liberal state.
