Oh, it’s on, Charleston

Measuring for the curtains? Boeing has applied for permits for its new plant in South Carolina that would allow it to place a second 787 line there. Optimists hopeful the second line will be built here will note that a Boeing spokesman correctly located Everett in Washington state.

Animal Planet, maybe? Guests at a New York high-rise hotel might want to draw the shades when involved in amorous activities. Some appear unaware that a new park, built on an abandoned elevated rail line, offers prime views into the rooms through the hotel’s floor-to-ceiling windows. One passerby compared the action to “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.”

We’re not sure what he saw, but we hope it didn’t involve nets, tranquilizer guns and alligators.
