The recent Herald article about dropping gasoline prices caught my interest and attention (“Gas prices falling, but slowly,” Sept. 11). On Tuesday an Arco station in Marysville was selling regular unleaded at $1.559 per gallon. During the Labor Day weekend, the same station had a price of $1.999 per gallon. Now, there’s a significant price decline. It means “we’ve been gassed once again” by the gas companies in their efforts to harvest obscene profits at the expense of the average person!
I wonder how high the prices will go at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those oil company executives surely must be designing ways to increase their big bonuses for 2003!
