Olympics focused too much on nationalism

I’m sick of the Olympics. They’ve become a war between nations who vie to display their current herds of zombies. The contestants are like animals intensely trained from a very early age to perform as no human was intended to perform.

The medal ceremony is a nationalistic ego trip that proudly shows how the winning nations are so much better than everyone else by playing their national anthems.

If the Olympics were truly a world event to unite all peoples in friendly competition (as it was originally intended) then it should return to amateur status and play the Olympic anthem (or no anthem) at all medal presentations.
