I read with interest the article in the May issue of Homage (formerly Senior Services of Snohomish County), “Where to turn when eviction from nursing home looms.” Although evictions are an important focus, there are many other situations that attract attention from the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, including abuse, care, environment, activities, dietary, privacy and others.
As a volunteer in this program, I encourage anyone interested in working to improve the lives of residents in long-term care to contact the Snohomish-King Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program at 360-862-1100 for a schedule of training sessions.
