We have continued our subscription to The Herald through all of the recent changes. New owners, new format, pages spilling out of their sections, we all know what I’m talking about. I hoped we had adjusted to the worst of it until Saturday’s issue, announcing that starting now, the Time Out section would be in with the Sports page.
We have a particular daily routine. Sports page to my husband, Time Out to me, before we go on to the usually bad national and local news. I was mortified! Creatures of habit become uncomfortable when their daily routines are suddenly rearranged. I would threaten to cancel my subscription, like so many other readers have, but I can’t. There is no other option. Readers are not jumping ship, because there are no lifeboats. You’ve got us over a barrel. The appreciation of the Herald publishers, for their readers, is evident in the typos, misprints and changes that come to our door every day. The feeling is mutual.
