Other terrorists were given trials

I can remember a time when Bush was swearing up and down the political spectrum that he would be bringing the 9/11 masterminds to justice.

Oddly enough, that obsession for “justice” has swiftly turned into a nightmare for all Americans.

Instead of upholding the Constitution and the law of the land, Bush has decided that what he says goes, and anyone who disagrees with him is unpatriotic.

So now we have a rogue president who says detainees have no rights.

Oh, really? Moussaoui got a trial. What about the guy who planned to blow up the Los Angeles airport? He got a trial too! Weren’t both of them terrorists?

So what makes these guys different than the ones being held without rights at Guantanao Bay? Or are there different definitions of “terrorist” that we don’t yet know about?

For a nation built on civil and human rights, shouldn’t we uphold the same principles that allowed us to try and convict these terrorists in a court of law?

Sadly, Bush doesn’t think so.
