It doesn’t appear that the Tuesday letter writer from Snohomish will be signing any of Tim Eyman’s initiatives anytime soon (“Tim Eyman: Should show some initiative, get a job”).
Big brother government has been creeping slowly and in subtle ways into our socio-economic-political arena for a long time. Some of us have been aware of this for years, while some of us are just now waking up, and there are obviously some of us who haven’t noticed at all.
I support and cherish the fact that this country allows the Tim Eymans to represent us, while our elected officials seemingly represent only themselves. It’s my wish Tim would run for governor of our most greedy state; I would vote for him and crusade for him in a heartbeat. And, due to the current tax-political-climate, I believe he would win. So do a whole lot of other folks, or those initiatives would not have reached the ballots.
Why shouldn’t Tim be paid for his time and efforts? Everyone else is. In fact, I say to Tim Eyman, give yourself a big raise, you deserve it. Big brother gives themselves regular raises.
