As noted in the Sunday letter, “Citizens must make their voices heard,” a travesty has occurred! Do you know where Seattle Hill Road winds down and meets Lowell-Larimer/Marsh Road? It was a beautiful curved historic tree-lined marvel. I used to love driving it – a section of peace in the midst of our increasingly asphalt and housing development crazed world.
It’s gone. There isn’t a tree left.
It’s not just the aesthetics or the peace of mind that tree-laden lane gave people, it’s the fact that the citizens of Snohomish County have probably been driving it for 100 years or more.
The Snohomish County that we love is being destroyed tree by tree. I hope others who noticed and care will take some sort of action.
