Let’s compare interrogation techniques. We use sleep deprivation, loud music and waterboarding. These techniques do not leave people dead or maimed. We feed them food applicable to their ethnicity, let them pray within their traditions, give them medical attention, let them exercise and let them watch TV.
They use electric drills to the legs, arms and head, tie people down to bare metal beds and fry them with electrical charges, play Russian roulette, provide serious beatings, hang people on hooks suspended from ceilings, slice them with knives and swords. And when it’s all over with, they shoot them in the head or, worse, behead and leave them mutilated.
Regardless of what you believe about the results they obtain, there’s really no argument about techniques or our humanity.
