I do not think that the media should be so anti-Bush because I think that it is crippling our country. No matter who the president is we, as citizens, need to be more supportive and less negative. This does not rule out causing people to think critically, but outspoken hatred is divisive. When the people are divided, and many of them are not willing to follow the leader placed over them, unity is far off in the distance.
The media tries to use the amount of deaths that have been occurring in Iraq as leverage for getting the troops out, but so many people die everyday in our very own country that we don’t seem to be bothered by it. I am not saying that we should unnecessarily put our troops in harm’s way but if the terrorists have already attacked us, showing that they are not afraid to bring the battle to our soil, then it seems most logical to actively pursue them and this is the president’s goal.
