As a proud member of Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum who enjoyed Skyfair on July 22, I have to say the July 16 guest commentary by William Lider is just blatant trolling. An airplane hangar of historical airplanes and armor on an already built airport is going to threaten salmon?
Really? Has the cause of saving salmon, pardon the cliche, jumped the shark?
Let me speak bluntly to Mr. Lider: Stop trolling a great museum and treasure of living history. At a time when community relations between the surrounding community and Paine Field need to heal in the wake of recent divisions such as a commercial terminal, a proposed aviation history center, and light rail; your op-ed was quite divisive, unwelcome and unnecessary. Finally, if you sincerely want to save wild salmon, tell the tribes to stop catching and eating them instead of trolling the greatest living history museum in the Puget Sound.
