Palin’s message needs some work

I used to think nothing was more obnoxious than a reformed smoker, then I caught Bristol Palin’s abstinence-only media blitz. I found her “do as I say, not as I do” talking points hypocritical. And didn’t she give an exclusive interview to Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren a few short months ago where she admitted that teen abstinence was unrealistic?

Young Ms. Palin also failed to note that not all teen pregnancies are the results of being uninformed about birth control and safe sex. Many young girls intentionally become pregnant in a sad effort to find a person they can love and be loved by unconditionally. It is nice to see the Far Right acknowledging some form of sex education. Maybe next time they will send someone to tell the complete story.
