Another free comic book lands in my mailbox, courtesy of the same steaming heap of good old boys that gun for Hans Dunshee every election. They’re outraged at Hans’ aversion to paving over the whole county, and his insistence on representing the people, not the moneyed interests.
Clever drawings, but the verbage, as always, bears no resemblance to reality, and the attempts at poetry were even worse this time than last. We don’t need Larry Countryman to draw us any pictures of Hans; we in the 44th district know him well. He’s our advocate in Olympia! And that’s why we keep electing him, no matter which flavor-of-the-month candidate the Republicans dredge up.
I think that what Mike Hope is hoping for is a little credibility, but the integrity of his party is not looking good this year. Hans Dunshee says what he means, and means what he says, and we trust him. And, he always runs a clean, honest campaign. I find that refreshing.
Besides, wouldn’t you want to vote for the guy with the bigger boat?
