We all know traffic is horrible. Tuesday, as I was driving to my job in Arlington, I was in the right lane on I-5. All lanes were full and people were going 65-70 mph. The location was just past the posted 70 mph limit (near Smokey Point).
All of a sudden I heard a loud car coming from somewhere and this nutty, crazy person (there were two people in the car) passed me on the shoulder (not an on-ramp) going at a high rate of speed.
It’s a good thing I have a good heart. A big truck was in the middle lane and cars were in the passing lane. I was not going slow! There was space between me and the car in front of me.
I am sure, as a senior, that I am not nearly as much of a risk as these two younger people, with their hot, gas-guzzling car. I wish a sheriff’s deputy or state trooper had witnessed this.
