Patricia Lyon will make an excellent judge at Evergreen District Court. I was on jury duty when all three candidates for this position were in the courtroom. Patricia Lyon was outstanding. She explained the legal process in a simplified manner and educated the jury to reach an informed decision. She was well prepared, having researched key points. The jury was astounded by her unique ability to quickly assimilate information and render an educated response. The speed of her mind is impressive. More importantly, it was clear that her goal was that the legal system fairly and effectively served both parties; she wasn’t merely trying to put away a criminal or win her case, but to pursue justice.
Patricia Lyon is a leader. She has a purposeful, clear, decisive manner; she is a careful, reflective listener; and she has a passion for ethics. I am confident she has the ability to pply balanced judgments that will result in justice both for defendants and for the citizens of Snohomish County.
