Pennies fine, but what’s with prices?

Enjoyed the Thursday article in the Business section regarding our lowly penny. I’m from the Depression era – and remember “a penny saved is a penny earned!”

I don’t object to pennies but hate the $1.97, $2.99, $6,700.99 price tags! Who will profit from a change in the price tags?
