People anxious for finality

Between Al Gore and George W. Bush, the question is who should be president. Even though Gore won the popular vote, Bush should be president because he won Florida votes that gave him the most Electoral College votes. He would not be the first president who didn’t get the most popular votes.

It is cool that they are making history, but they are wasting the people’s time recounting votes. If people could not read their ballot, they should have gotten help or thrown their ballot away and gotten a new one. They had the power to do that. People are starting to not care who is president. People think that the elections should have been stopped at the first count. And people are starting to get nasty about what is said. On the radio, a lady said she had voted for Gore, and two minutes later a man called and said, “No, you were voting for Lieberman because you are Jewish.” Several people are taking it to the courts to either get the recounting stopped or to expand time for it to keep going.

I think it is time that there should just be a president.
