I find it hard to believe the lack of appreciation people have shown for the good things Tim Eyman has done for the taxpayers. I think he was entitled to compensation for his time spent working for the taxpayers. He should have set up some system to designate how the funds were spent and what his salary should have been. He apparently did not do this. The politicians were tickled to death to hang him because he was responsible for removing some of the fat from their budgets.
I worry more about these freeloading politicians who seem to keep any moneys in their re-election war chests after the elections. How much taxpayer money did the politicians waste while going through two extra sessions last year and accomplishing nothing, all because of the fighting between the two parties? Why not paint them with the same brush as Mr. Eyman? Those two useless sessions cost the taxpayers plenty. At least Mr. Eyman saved the working stiffs plenty of money by reducing the car tab fees.
I guess a lot of people have forgotten about that. Give the guy a break. He has always meant well for the poor taxpayer, who has no voice in this outrageous taxation.
