As a volunteer of the Sky Valley Food Bank in Monroe, I would like to gently remind the giving public that the less-fortunate people need your help, not only during the holidays, but 365 days a year. What monetary donations you make now can help the food banks all year long. It is not an easy thing to come to a food bank to help feed your family, but with the rising cost of heating, health care, groceries, etc., many more families are finding it a necessity. The holidays and cold weather only make it harder on those in need.
Please do what you can now and all year long to help your area food banks. They give out food to people who are in need. Your donation of food and monetary gifts will help feed little children, seniors and individuals. I ask that you help make all the difference in the lives of others by contacting your local food bank as soon as you can!
