People overreact to ‘sunsetting’ of law

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that the 1994 “assault weapons” ban actually banned any firearms when it only banned certain cosmetic features on firearms. I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that the 1994 “assault weapons” ban was “lifted” when it in fact sunsetted as per the law as written and approved by Congress and signed by President Clinton. I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that “assault weapons” are military weapons when military weapons are fully automatic (such as machine guns). I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that military weapons are going to be available for sale anywhere in Washington state. If you believe the liberals, gun banners, Gil Kerlikowski, Sara Brady and the rest, military weapons are going to be for sale by anyone with a car on a corner with an open trunk.
